Previous Experience

Prior to starting her own consultancy in 1999, Ailsa worked in marketing and senior management positions for a range of organizations including Bicycle Victoria and the Conservation Council of Victoria (now Environment Victoria) and The CEO Institute. Known as the ‘membership guru’ Ailsa developed successful and cost effective methods to achieve membership growth. She was the Director of Marketing for the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, a multi-award-winning internationally-recognised jazz festival and Victorian Hallmark Event.

Ailsa has been engaged as a marketing and business coach in the Women in Business Program, Business Planning Assistance Program, Artists in Business Program and Skilling Small Business for the Future. Ailsa has judged the Telstra Business Awards in 2007, 2008, Telstra Women’s Business Awards in 2007 and was a panel judge for the awards in 2008. She has again been asked to judge the 2009 Telstra Business Awards.

She has authored the Shoe String Marketing Kit for Small Business, is a former Vice President of the Greater Western Chamber of Commerce, a Small Business Mentor and lecturer at Victoria University. Ailsa produces a weekly internet marketing pod cast called marketing geek which attracts an international audience. In 2007 Ailsa sold her share in Sponsorship Mechanics a sponsorship consultancy. She has recently become an owner of Prospect Wines Williamstown.
